a family-run vistor centre, cafe & campsite

The Coomarkane Visitor Centre lies just beyond the picturesque town of Glengarriff in West Cork

and is perfect for campers, day-trippers, walkers, nature lovers, poetic souls

and all those among us who suspect that happiness can be found in a quieter pace of life

As well as a cafe serving delicious meals all day, the Visitor Centre is home to the award winning Rynhart Bronze studio.

Studio visits can be arranged where you can see Audrey, the artist at work.

Bronzes and other hand-craft items can be bought from our shop

Our beautiful campsite is situated in two secluded fields along a riverbank. It's perfect if you're walking the Beara Way,

touring the Wild Atlantic Way, or simply looking for an peaceful place to rest for the night.

great place for a family

"We spent two days in this beautiful campsite. The sheltered field bordered by a stream was perfect for our family. Our children loved petting the animals. Les and Audrey were so friendly and helpful and made our trip to Ireland very special

expect to catch a glimpse
of fairies

I had lunch and spent the afternoon at the Coomarkane Visitor Centre. Great food and great chat but it was the atmosphere of the place that was the highlight of the day. The land is a blend of cultivation and wilderness with something magical fluttering about like butterflies. I'm sure fairies live there.
